A coach with driver in the province of Antwerp: from the port city itself to Mechelen, Lier and the Kempen around Turnhout and Geel.
The province of Antwerp has two faces. In the west lies the city of Antwerp with its port, its museums and the Left Bank, with Mechelen and Lier a short drive away. In the east lies the Kempen (Campine): villages, woods and heathland, with Turnhout and Geel as its centres, and theme parks and provincial parks that schools and youth movements head to every year.
For a group travelling by coach, the difference is large. In the city of Antwerp a low-emission zone covers the city centre and the Left Bank, and getting on or off in the narrow streets is not possible everywhere. In the Kempen the distance is what counts: if you set off from a village, you can easily spend an hour on the coach to the coast or to Brussels.
Is your town not listed? Choose the larger city nearby: what it says about getting on usually applies around it too.
With a coach in Antwerp
If you set off from a village in the Kempen, choose a pick-up point where parents or colleagues can park for a moment: a church square, a sports hall or a school car park. If you are going to the city of Antwerp, say so in your request, because then the coach company will send a coach that is allowed into the low-emission zone.
And if you are going to a theme park in the Kempen, ask the park where coaches drop off their groups: that is usually in the practical information for groups.
