A coach for your airport transfer

A group that travels together also wants to arrive at the airport together: a sports club on its way to a tournament, a school on an exchange, a company flying to a conference. With a coach all the suitcases go into the luggage hold in one go, and nobody has to leave their car in an expensive car park for a week.

From Flanders there are three airports that groups often need to get to. Brussels Airport in Zaventem is the closest for most people in Flanders. Brussels South Charleroi Airport is in Hainaut and is the starting point for many low-cost flights. And if you live in Antwerp, Limburg or the north of the province, you sometimes fly from Schiphol, near Amsterdam. For a trip to Schiphol the distance counts: expect a few hours on the road, and traffic jams around Antwerp and Breda.

Arranging the coach

Pass on the flight number and the departure time, and how many suitcases are coming along. The coach company works back from that to the time the coach has to leave. If the coach is also picking the group up on their return, give the flight number of the return flight: if it is delayed, the driver knows when to be ready.

The coach company knows where a hired coach drops its group off at the airport; that differs from airport to airport.

Since 7 May 2026 all buses and coaches depart from and arrive at a new bus station with five bays, 100 metres from the departures and arrivals hall.
The bus station is on level 0; a covered walkway leads to the terminal.
It will stay there for about four years, until the new intermodal hub is ready, planned for 2030.
The press release covers the regular service buses, the intercity coaches and the shuttle buses; it does not say where a hired coach drops off its group.

Questions about a coach for your airport transfer

How early does the coach need to be at the airport?

That depends on the airline and the destination. Check how far in advance you need to check in, add the journey and some margin for traffic, and then agree the departure time with the coach company.

What if the return flight is delayed?

Pass on the flight number; then the driver can follow the arrival. Agree beforehand how long he will wait and what happens in the event of a long delay.

Can a coach from Flanders also drive to Schiphol?

Yes. A trip to a Dutch airport is perfectly normal for a Belgian coach company. Give the departure time of the flight, and the coach company will take the distance and the traffic into account.
