How the price you see is made

  1. Your trip, actually calculated

    The kilometres by road, the hours of the driver with the breaks the law requires, and the drive from where the coach is based. No from-price and no average.

  2. With the company's own rates

    If a coach company has set its rates, we use them. If not, our standard rate, and that is shown.

  3. With everything included

    Driver, VAT, tolls and the supplements for a Saturday, a public holiday or the night. With every offer you see how the amount is made up.

  4. Then it is up to the company

    The coach company confirms the final amount and whether the coach is available. Only when you accept it is anything agreed.

What we check

  • The label "verified" means we have checked that company's licence, insurance and registration: the company number for a Belgian company, the KVK for a Dutch one. If it is not there, we have not done so.
  • Coach companies that are not taking part yet come from the register of road transport companies of the Belgian federal mobility department (FOD Mobiliteit en Vervoer (Belgian federal mobility and transport department)), and their page says they are not taking part yet.
  • What we read on a company's own website is shown with the source and the date.

What we do not do

  • Make up reviews: a company without reviews gets none.
  • Sell a place in the list: the order is not for sale.
  • Sit between you and the coach company: the trip, the payment and the arrangements are between you.
  • Pass your details on to coach companies while you are only comparing.

To be fair

When this won't help you

  • If you make the same trip with the same company every year and you are happy with it, comparing mostly gives you confirmation.
  • If your destination abroad is a place we don't know, we calculate with an estimated distance. Comparing the companies with each other still works, but the amount itself is less precise. Your overview shows which addresses we recognised.

No. Comparing, asking a question and requesting a booking are free, and you are not committed to anything until you accept the final amount from the coach company yourself.

How does BusOffer.com make money, then?

A coach company that takes part only pays us when a trip through BusOffer.com actually goes ahead; what that is, is set out in the terms for coach companies. The order of the list is not for sale.

Is the price I see the final price?

No, it is a price estimate for your trip, calculated with the rates the coach company set itself, or with our standard rate while it hasn't yet (that is shown). The coach company confirms the final amount after you request a booking.

Where do the coach companies that are not taking part yet come from?

From the register of road transport companies of the FOD Mobiliteit en Vervoer (the Belgian federal mobility and transport department), and from their own website. Their page says they are not taking part yet, and what we read on their site is shown with the source.
