Frequently asked questions about the price of a coach
What does it cost to hire a coach in Belgium?
That depends on your route, your date, your group and the coach company. The example trips above show an amount, calculated with our standard rate. To see what it costs for your trip, enter it: then you see the prices of coach companies side by side.
How much VAT is in the price?
Every coach company, Belgian or Dutch, charges the VAT of each country on the kilometres driven there: 6% on the part of the trip in Belgium and 9% on a part in the Netherlands. The amount you see always includes VAT; it is not added again.
Do you use the Belgian public holidays?
Yes, for a Belgian coach company: the ten statutory public holidays, such as 21 July. 11 July, the holiday of the Flemish Community, is not a statutory public holiday and does not count. A Dutch coach company uses the Dutch public holidays.
Why is a Saturday more expensive than a weekday?
Our standard rate adds a surcharge on Saturdays, and a higher one on Sundays and public holidays. A coach company with its own rates can use different surcharges.
Do you add tolls?
Not for a trip in Belgium, the Netherlands or Germany: a coach pays no general toll there. For a destination abroad where a coach does pay, such as France, we add an estimate.
Can a Dutch coach company also drive my trip?
Yes. The comparison also shows Dutch coach companies that offer trips in Belgium. Each company says on the price overview what it charges for your trip.
Is the amount I see the final price?
No, it is a price estimate. The coach company confirms the final amount itself. It can differ, for example because of a different route or extra waiting time.
