Comparing fairly

Like with like

Two quotes only compare well if they cover the same trip and include the same things. That is why you check the trip yourself and tick what your quote includes. An amount without VAT is raised by 6%, the Belgian VAT rate for passenger transport, and it says so. For a trip across the border that is an approximation: a Belgian coach company charges 9% on the part in the Netherlands. How we calculate our own prices is on How we calculate.

What happens to my quote?

The file is read once, by Claude, an AI model from Anthropic, and is then not kept: not by us and not in a log. What we read from it we do keep: the trip, the price, what is included and which coach company made the quote. That shows us what coach hire really costs. We do not read your own name, address or phone number.

The name of the coach company is not shown anywhere on the site, and coach companies on BusOffer.com do not see your quote.

Is BusOffer.com always cheaper?

No. Sometimes your quote is sharper than what you see here, and then your price overview says so. You see per company whether it is above or below your quote.

My quote is without VAT. How do you compare that?

The prices on BusOffer.com always include VAT. If your quote is without VAT, we add 6%, the Belgian VAT rate for passenger transport, and say so. If you do not know, we compare the amount as it is and say that too.

What is included in the prices on BusOffer.com?

Driver, insurance and VAT always. Tolls, parking, a second driver, the driver's hotel and waiting time are included in our calculation when your trip needs them. A coach company that gives its own amount says what it includes. Tick on the form what your quote includes, so you can compare like with like.
