A coach with driver to Bilzen and Alden Biesen: a commandery with a moated castle and gardens, and a visitor car park right opposite the moated castle.
Bilzen lies on the edge of Haspengouw and since 1 January 2025 has formed a single municipality with Hoeselt, Bilzen-Hoeselt. Its best-known place is the Alden Biesen commandery, a castle estate with a moated castle, gardens and outbuildings. There are exhibitions, concerts and events, and groups come for a guided tour or a walk through the gardens.
If you set off from Bilzen, you are soon on the E313 to Antwerp or to Liège. For an outing in Haspengouw, at blossom time or at harvest, Bilzen is a good place to start.
Enter your trip and you will see the prices of the participating coach companies side by side, including companies from the Netherlands that drive in Belgium. The Flemish coach companies on this page are not taking part yet: they are listed without a price with your trip, and you can invite them from there.
Driving from the depot is part of the price of every trip, so a company that is close by usually starts lower. These 29 are within 50 km:

There is no fixed price per town. What you pay depends on the distance, how long the driver works, the type of coach and the day. Driving from the company’s depot is part of the price too: a company close by usually starts lower.

Alden Biesen lies outside the centre, a few kilometres from the station, and has no regular bus service. For a group a coach is therefore the simplest way to get there. Ask when you book where the coach can park, and give the coach company the arrival and departure times.
As the source puts it, with the day we read it. A municipality can change a rule or a spot: check the source’s page again just before your trip, and agree the spot with your coach company.

Via the E313, exit 31 Bilzen-Hoeselt, and then the signs to Alden Biesen. The visitor car park is at the junction of the Roelants du Vivierlaan and the Kasteelstraat, right opposite the moated castle.
There is no regular bus service to the estate; Bilzen station is five kilometres away. With a coach you are at the entrance in one go.
