School trip to the Efteling by coach

With the class to the Efteling in Kaatsheuvel, just across the border in North Brabant: the coach parks for free on the park's coach area. According to the Efteling the school rate also applies to Belgian primary and secondary education.

With your group to the Efteling

The park is in Kaatsheuvel, north of Tilburg. From the province of Antwerp it is a drive across the border via the A16 or the E19; from Ghent or Limburg it is a day with a longer drive.

The park has a school rate, and it says in so many words that in Belgium it applies to primary and secondary education, special needs included. With that rate you get in from half an hour after normal opening time: if the park opens at ten, the class is in at half past ten. If you leave early, plan a stop on the way.

The Efteling counts in Dutch school types: primary education (basisonderwijs) and secondary education (voortgezet onderwijs). For a Flemish school that comes down to primary and secondary.

The school rate and the coach area

In Belgium the school rate applies to (special needs) primary education and (special needs) secondary education.
Coaches bringing a school group can park for free on the Efteling's coach area; the rules posted there apply.
With the school rate you have access from half an hour after normal opening time.
Accompanying adults pay the same rate as the pupils; for primary education that is at most 1 adult per 4 children, for secondary education 1 per 8.

Arranging the coach

Let the coach leave so that the class is at the entrance after the half hour after opening; arriving earlier gains nothing with the school rate. In your request, give the number of pupils and adults together. On the coach area the rules posted there apply; agree with the driver where the class gets back on after the visit.
