Keukenhof is in Lisse, in the bulb region between Leiden and Haarlem. From Flanders it is a full day: a long drive each way, via Antwerp and the A16 or the A4. A seniors' club, a families' association or a garden club therefore leaves early and plans a stop on the way.

The park works with tickets for a fixed day and a fixed half-hour arrival slot. That makes the coach's departure time important: miss the slot and you are left standing at the entrance. With a group of more than twenty people you book together.

On Saturday 17 April 2027 the flower parade runs through the bulb region. After midday several roads are closed until five o'clock, and the park cannot be reached. For a quiet day, choose another date.
