In the centre of Bergschenhoek there are bollards at De Kruin and the Dorpsstraat. At De Kruin they have been up permanently since 1 August 2020.

Where may the coach wait?

A vehicle longer than 6 metres or higher than 2.4 metres may not be parked by a house in a way that blocks the residents’ view or bothers them.
The municipality can also designate places where such a vehicle may not park. We have not found a decision on that for coaches.
Briefly stopping to let people get on or off straight away does not count as parking. So that is always allowed.

Where does the group get on?

These are car parks on the OpenStreetMap map. The municipality has not designated them as a spot for a coach. So always agree the spot with the coach company.
In Berkel en Rodenrijs there are two car parks on the Terpstraat and one at the shopping centre, 300 to 400 metres from the centre. The one at the Het Hoge Land sports park is bigger and almost a kilometre away.
In Bergschenhoek there is a car park on the street called Rondom, right by the centre. At the town hall on the Tobias Asserlaan there is a bigger one, about a kilometre away.
In Bleiswijk there are three car parks close to the centre, on the Frederik Hendrikstraat, on Het Loo and on the Dorpsstraat. Eikenplaats P2 is bigger and almost one and a half kilometres away.
Distances are measured in a straight line to the centre of the village. We have not been there ourselves. The map does not say whether a coach fits or can turn there.

Can I hire an open-top bus in Lansingerland?

Yes, at Labots in Berkel en Rodenrijs. The company has an old bus with an open roof and 49 seats. It was built in 1980 and converted halfway through the nineties. You can hire it for a wedding or an exam party, for example. That is what the company’s website says.

How far is Rotterdam The Hague Airport?

The airport is just across the municipal border, in Rotterdam. From the centre of Berkel en Rodenrijs it is just over 4.5 kilometres in a straight line. The airport does not say on its website where a coach may stop at the terminal.
