Amsterdam combines a compact city centre with busy arterial roads. A driver who knows the city can easily save you a quarter of an hour.
From the narrow canal houses in the old centre to the modern Zuidas business district: Amsterdam is a city of contrasts. Groups often combine a visit with a canal boat trip, an evening out in the Jordaan, or a trip on to the beach at Zandvoort or the Efteling theme park.

Driving from the base is part of the price of every trip, so a company that is close by usually starts lower. These 7 are within 50 km:
Measured as the crow flies from the centre. Which one is cheapest also depends on the vehicle and the date.
Amsterdam has a low-emission zone for diesel vehicles. A coach may only enter if it meets the requirements; if in doubt, ask the coach company whether the coach it sends is allowed in. As everywhere, the final price also depends on the distance, the vehicle type you choose and the date. Request a free price estimate for your exact route.
Large groups leaving Amsterdam often depart from one of the P+R (park and ride) sites on the ring road (for example P+R Sloterdijk or Zeeburg), because a coach is not allowed everywhere in the canal ring. Ask your coach company for a pick-up address just outside the centre if your group is leaving from the inner city.
Enter the address your group leaves from. You then see two things: whether we recognise that address, and which coach companies on BusOffer are closest to it. Driving to the start is part of the price of every trip, so a company nearby starts lower. Which spot a coach may use there is something you agree with the coach company; it differs per street and per municipality, and we don’t know it.
Amsterdam keeps large coaches out of the city centre. They let their group on and off at numbered stops around its edge, and then park further away. The municipality publishes these stops and car parks as open data.
Below are the spots as the source names them. A municipality can move a spot or close it temporarily, for example for roadworks or an event: check the source’s page again just before your trip, and agree the spot with your coach company.

Yes, most coach companies in and around Amsterdam drive to Schiphol every day and know the busy times on the A4 and A9 well.
Outside the canal ring, for example at a P+R site or on a wide arterial road. The coach company will often suggest a specific pick-up point based on your exact departure address.
Not necessarily, but traffic and restricted access times can make the driving time within the city a little longer, which counts slightly towards the price estimate.
