How do you choose between these eight?
In practice the choice comes down to three questions, and hardly ever more. Answer them in this order and you will usually be left with one or two types.
- How many of you are there? This narrows it down the most. Everyone needs their own seat (standing is not allowed on private coach hire), so count children and supervisors too. If you are just under a limit, plan for the size above: otherwise one participant who signs up late can cost you a completely different vehicle.
- What kind of trip is it? An hour to a theme park makes different demands from eight hours to the Alps. On a short trip, what matters most is whether everyone fits; on a long trip, legroom, reclining seats, a toilet on board and a luggage hold under the floor count for more than the price per person.
- Does it need anything special on board? Wheelchair spaces, a lift, child seats, room for bikes or instruments, or a layout for partying on the way. Put that in your request rather than asking later: it determines which coaches are possible at all, and not every coach company has them.
If you are torn between two types, request both in the same request. You get the offers side by side and see what the difference really is for your route. That differs per trip, which is why there is no amount on this page.
