      When and where is King's Day 2027?

      Since 2014 King's Day has been celebrated on 27 April, the birthday of King Willem-Alexander. On Tuesday 27 April 2027 the King celebrates King's Day in Lelystad with members of the Royal House and the Royal Family.

      • The 2025 coach leaflet lists King's Day among the events on which parts of the city cannot be reached by coach.
      • In a large part of the centre, a coach heavier than 7.5 tonnes is not allowed all year round, or only with an exemption.
      • There is no leaflet for 2027 yet. The city council itself announces which streets will be closed on 27 April 2027.

      Utrecht: the free market in the city centre

      • The free market is in the city centre. The free market area is car-free, to make room for the blanket sale.
      • The free market area is closed to traffic, with a parking ban, from 15:00 the day before until midnight on King's Day.
      • The city council recommends coming by public transport or by bike; the free market area is a 15-minute walk from Utrecht Centraal.

      The Hague: King's Night in the city centre

      • THE LIFE I LIVE is the free city festival on King's Night, with stages on the Lange Voorhout and the Kerkplein among others.
      • During the evening, festival locations may close temporarily if it gets too busy.
      • Afterwards, night buses run every half hour between 01:00 and 05:00 from the bus platform at Den Haag Centraal.

      Eindhoven: King's Night and King's Day

      • The organisers already list the 2027 dates: King's Night on Monday 26 April and King's Day on Tuesday 27 April.
      • On King's Day the city centre is closed to regular traffic, with traffic controllers and fence guards.
      • The Orange market is in the Stadswandelpark; in 2026 the streets around it were closed on 27 April from 05:00 to 21:00.
