Auto- en Touringcarbedrijf De Jong in Damwâld is a family business with two parts: De Jong Tours for coach transport, and Autobedrijf De Jong. At De Jong Tours you can hire a coach with driver for day trips, school trips and excursions, city breaks and tailor-made trips. The car business sells new and used cars and does repairs, servicing and MOT inspections.

According to its own website, the company was founded in Damwoude on 19 April 1922 with a single hire car; a year later came the first bus, with which the Driesum-Leeuwarden bus service began. The Dokkum-Buitenpost service followed in 1928. During the war the German Wehrmacht requisitioned the family's buses, so the company had to start again from scratch afterwards. A Fiat dealership was added in 1960. The company is still on the Hoofdweg in Damwoude.
